By using CountOn2 News you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. They sit alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
Using the site
You may read, print and share our journalism for personal, non-commercial use. You may not interfere with the service, attempt to gain access to areas you are not authorised to use, or bypass any technical restriction we put in place. Automated access — scraping, crawling, bulk downloading — is permitted only to the extent allowed by our robots.txt and at a rate that does not degrade the service for other readers.
Our content and your rights to it
Articles, photographs, illustrations, data visualisations and the design of this site are protected by copyright and remain the property of CountOn2 News or of the rights holders who licensed them to us. You may quote a short extract with clear attribution and a link back to the original page. Republishing a full article, translating it, or using our material to train or fine-tune a machine learning model requires written permission — ask via the contact page.
Third-party material and links
Some coverage summarises or builds on reporting first published elsewhere; where that is the case the article names the original publisher and links to it, and those rights remain with them. We link to external sites for the reader’s benefit but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
Accuracy, updates and corrections
We publish in good faith and to a professional standard, but news is provisional by nature. Stories may be updated as facts emerge, and nothing on this site is offered as legal, financial, medical or professional advice. If you believe something we published is wrong, tell us through the contact page; verified errors are corrected on the page with a dated note.
Third-party reporting
Some of our coverage builds on reporting first published elsewhere. Where that is the case the article credits the original outlet and links to it. Every piece is reviewed by an editor before publication, and we remain fully responsible for what we publish.
Material you send us
If you send us a tip, document, photograph or other material, you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it in our journalism, including in follow-up coverage and archives. You keep ownership of your material. We are not obliged to publish anything sent to us, and we may not be able to return it.
Newsletters
Newsletter subscriptions are free and voluntary. Every edition includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. We may change the format or frequency of a newsletter, or discontinue it, with notice to subscribers.
Availability and liability
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date above shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms, permissions requests and syndication enquiries all go through the contact page. You can read about how we report on our about page.
